BTS #9: This Can Wait... But Not Too Long
This is edition #9 of the Behind-the-Scenes Breakdown of The Purposeful Performer.
⚡️ Today’s level up ⚡️
Today’s edition wraps up the behind-the-scenes look at the building and launching of The Purposeful Performer, my productized service for 2025.
Today, on one of the most famous days of the year, this newsletter ends, while The Purposeful Performer comes to life (exactly one week from today).
I hope you’ll join us on the ride!
What if you didn’t need money or attention?
“You know that feeling you have after a big meal? When you’re so full that you don’t want anything more?
Ever wonder what that would feel like in other parts of your life?
We do so many things for the attention, to feel important or praised. But what if you had so much attention and so much praise that you couldn’t possibly want any more? What would you do then? What would you stop doing?
We do so many things for the money, whether we need it or not. But what if you had so much money that you couldn’t possibly want any more? What would you do then? What would you stop doing?
And then if you stopped doing all these things you’re doing just for the money or the attention, what would be left? Who would you be if you didn’t do these things? If you were completely satiated, then what? After an understandable period of relaxing, what would you pursue?
Don’t say “sit around and do nothing,” because that’s still just relaxing. I mean after that, when you’re ready to be useful to others again.
What would you do then, if you didn’t need the money and didn’t need the attention?”
This is verbatim from Derek Sivers in the book Hell Yeah or No.
Derek is one of the select few intentional humans at the top level of my 3-Level Framework from whom I learn and draw inspiration. As he has done for me, I hope my writing, designs, frameworks, systems, instruction, guidance, and coaching can do the same for you.
If anything, next year’s focus on Empowerment will be designed to make you think deeper about what you’re trying to achieve and why.
I’ll leave you with another one of Derek’s gems:
“No matter what you tell the world or you tell yourself, your actions revel your real values. Your actions show you what you actually want.
There are two smart reactions to this:
Stop lying to yourself, and admit your real priorities.
Start doing what you say you want to do, and see if it’s really true.”
Thanks for being a reader. The best is yet to come!
P.S. The mobile app is coming together...

The digital library is selectively filling up, and features are coming to life.
I will purposefully roll out new content and features as we go. The intent is for the platform to take on its own rhythmic growth to match your journey (so as not to provide too much at once, potentially causing distractions rather than sublime focus and relentless execution).
Can’t wait to share it with you next week!
See you inside!
