What is The Purposeful Performer?
The Purposeful Performer is a learning platform and operating system for experienced tech sellers who want to design careers that compound into autonomy. It focuses on systems, strategic selling, leverage, and long-term thinking—supported by community and optional coaching. This is not a sales cohort or short-term program, but a durable way of operating over time.
Who is it for?
The Purposeful Performer is for experienced tech sellers (typically with a decade or more of experience) who want to turn strong performance into long-term autonomy. It’s designed for those ready to move beyond tactics and start operating with systems, strategy design, and intention. The work is written with senior individual contributors in mind, and tends to be most useful for sellers operating in complex, non-transactional tech environments. If you’re early in your career or focused primarily on high-volume transactional selling, this may not be the right fit yet.
How is it different from a course, cohort, or coaching program?
Most courses are designed to be completed, cohorts are designed to be experienced once, and coaching programs are designed to be directive. The Purposeful Performer is designed to be operated. Instead of a fixed start and end date, you’re working inside a durable operating system you can return to throughout the year, and then progress through every year as your career matures. Instead of consuming content in sequence, you apply ideas when they’re relevant to your current season. And instead of being told what to do, you’re guided to make better decisions for yourself using frameworks, systems, and reflection. Coaching is available when deeper support is useful, but it’s not the core of the experience. The core is learning how to think, operate, and architect authentic autonomy over time—without dependency on constant accountability or external pressure. This isn’t a sprint, a one-time immersion, or a motivational program. It’s a long-term way of working that evolves as you do.
How much time do I need to commit to the program?
The Purposeful Performer is designed to fit into a demanding schedule, not compete with it. Most members spend a short amount of time reading one lesson each week, followed by applying a single mission that typically takes under an hour, depending on how deeply you choose to engage. Some weeks you may move quickly, other weeks you may go deeper, and that flexibility is intentional. Optional activities like group sessions, AMAs, or one-on-one coaching are available, but never required. This is meant to support your work, not overwhelm it, and you’re always in control of how much time you invest.
How is it delivered / where do I work?
The Purposeful Performer is delivered digitally and designed to work alongside the tools you already use. Lessons are published in written form and accessed through the member library, while missions are completed inside a simple personal workspace you control. There’s no rigid platform to learn or software to manage—everything is intentionally lightweight. Community discussions, live sessions, and optional coaching are hosted separately and integrated only if and when they’re useful to you. The goal is to support focused work, not pull you into another app that demands constant attention.
What does the experience feel like over time?
Early on, the experience tends to feel clarifying. You begin to see your work, calendar, and decisions more clearly, and small changes start to reduce noise and friction. Over time, it becomes steadier and more intuitive. You stop trying to keep up and instead return to the material when it’s useful for whatever season you’re in. The lessons don’t expire, the pressure doesn’t increase, and nothing resets if you step away for a week or two. Most members describe it as a grounding presence rather than a constant pull—something that supports better decisions over time without demanding ongoing attention.
Who is best suited for The Pro membership?
The Pro membership is best suited for experienced tech sellers who want a structured, self-directed way to improve how they operate week to week. It’s ideal if you’re producing results but want more consistency, clarity, and proven frameworks without adding more meetings or obligations to your schedule. Pro members are comfortable learning independently, applying ideas at their own pace, and using the material as a steady reference throughout the year. If you’re looking for ongoing guidance without constant hand-holding, and you want a system you can return to as your career evolves, Pro is likely the right fit.
Who is best suited for The Accelerator option?
The Accelerator is best suited for experienced sellers who are at an important inflection point in their career and want thoughtful one-on-one support to navigate it well. This option makes sense if you’re working through a major deal, weighing a meaningful career move, rethinking how you position yourself, or trying to get clearer about where to focus your effort next. The Accelerator isn’t ongoing coaching or constant access, but a small number of intentional conversations in a short sprint or spread over the year designed to help you slow down, think clearly, and make better decisions when they matter most. If you value perspective, clarity, and honest challenge during pivotal moments, the Accelerator is likely the right fit.
Who is best suited for The Inner Circle option?
The Inner Circle is best suited for a small number of experienced sellers who are already operating with a high degree of autonomy and want a closer, more personal working relationship. This option makes sense if you’re beyond skill-building and looking for thoughtful collaboration, direct access, and ongoing dialogue around bigger questions—how you work, what you build next, and how you want your career and life to take shape. The Inner Circle is intentionally limited and invitation-based to keep the experience focused and personal. If you’re seeking a trusted thought partner rather than a program or playbook, this is likely the right fit. To apply, email [email protected] with “INNER CIRCLE” in the subject line.
What is your refund policy?
The Purposeful Performer is designed as an annual membership intended to be used over time, not sampled or rushed through. Because of that, memberships are not refundable once access is granted. Each lesson is intentionally self-contained and designed to deliver value on its own, regardless of when or how deeply you engage. Before joining, we encourage you to take your time reviewing the site, the philosophy, and the structure to be sure it’s the right fit. This approach allows us to stay focused on serving members who are aligned with the work, rather than optimizing for short-term transactions.
Can I expense this with my employer?
In most cases, I don’t recommend expensing The Purposeful Performer through your employer. This work is intentionally personal. It’s designed to help you think independently, operate with more autonomy, and make decisions that may not always align neatly with corporate incentives. In my own experience, I found that I engaged far more deeply—and got significantly more value—when I chose to invest personally rather than relying on company reimbursement. If you have an employer-sponsored budget, it’s often better used on adjacent skills or tools that support this journey. Treating this as a personal investment creates clarity, commitment, and a different level of seriousness. If the price feels uncomfortable or forced, it’s usually a signal to wait until the timing feels right.
What’s with the bee?
It started personally. Early in our relationship, my wife, Lisi, began calling me “B,” which eventually turned into the 🐝 emoji. Later, in 2020, I was invited to co-lead an internal initiative called Project Beehive, focused on rethinking how work actually gets done—an experience that deeply influenced how I think about performance, systems, and culture. Over time, the symbol stuck. Bees are quiet, purposeful, and essential. They don’t chase attention, but their work compounds into something much bigger than themselves. In that sense, they’re a fitting symbol for what this work is really about.
How do I manage my membership or access support?
The Purposeful Performer is owned and operated by BFLG Strategies, LLC, and guided by Brandon Fluharty. All memberships run on an annual basis and can be managed directly through your account once you’re logged in. From there, you can upgrade your membership, manage billing, and access resources specific to your tier, including any coaching links associated with higher-touch options. If you ever need help or have a question, you can reach support directly via email and expect a straightforward response. Administrative emails may occasionally come from affiliated addresses used to support group or one-on-one coaching, but everything is designed to be simple, transparent, and easy to manage without unnecessary friction.
